A new book, Sci-Fi Baby Names (by Robert Schnakenberg), has been released last month. The book compiles more than 500 distinctive names from movies, books, and TV shows into a handy illustrated reference.

If you are a Trekkie, there’s Tuvok, after a Vulcan character from Star Trek: Voyager, or for a girl, perhaps Amidala in the newer Star Wars movies. Trinity and Neo were both characters from The Matrix, while Xander and Willow feature in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
